Ogier has advised long-standing client Cinven on its majority investment in Grant Thornton UK, which marks the largest private equity transaction to date in the UK accounting sector.
A UK diversified professional services firms, Grant Thornton has more than 240 partners and 5,500 employees across 20 offices, offering audit, tax and advisory services.
The Ogier team, led by partner Richard Daggett and assisted by senior associate Marcela Tudose, provided Jersey corporate legal advice to global private equity firm Cinven. They were supported by associate Natalia Fortuna and trainee solicitor Evie Howell advising on the Jersey incentives elements of the transaction. Partner Bryon Rees, counsel Liam Murphy and associate Amy Parker advised on Guernsey regulatory matters. The team worked closely alongside lead UK advisers, Freshfields LLP.
