Mourant is celebrating a member of its Governance Services team achieving the top grade in a leading professional qualification programme.
Kalpana Piradeepan (pictured), Director in the Jersey Client Accounting team of Mourant Governance Services, achieved the highest grade globally in the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment’s (CISI) Islamic Finance Qualification exam in 2025.
CISI is a global professional body that sets the standards of professional excellence across a broad range of financial services disciplines. For over 30 years, it has been championing integrity, raising individual standards of knowledge, skills and behaviour in the UK and internationally, and working to enhance public confidence in financial services.
Kalpana collected her award at the CISI Awards Ceremony in London on 28 April. This annual ceremony celebrates the highest-scoring candidates across all CISI’s exam categories.
Kalpana commented: “I am extremely proud to have achieved the highest global grade in the CISI Islamic Finance Qualification. This award reflects my commitment to continually developing my technical knowledge in this increasingly important area of finance. Islamic finance plays a vital role in global markets, and I am delighted to have my efforts recognised by CISI. I would also like to thank the firm and my colleagues for their continued support.”
