ABC Jersey is calling on businesses, schools, community groups and Islanders across Jersey to help turn the Island pink this October as its popular Pink Window Parade returns for 2026.
Following an incredible response in 2025, when more than 100 shops and organisations joined the campaign, ABC Jersey is hoping to make this year’s parade even bigger – using windows across the Island to start conversations about breast health, early detection and the importance of regularly checking ourselves.
From shops, cafés and salons to offices, schools and home windows, everyone is invited to take part.
The concept is deliberately simple: decorate a window pink for any length of time during October and help make breast cancer awareness impossible to ignore.
Last year’s displays ranged from elaborate installations filled with balloons, florals and lights to simple but powerful messages of support. Collectively, they helped spread ABC Jersey’s ‘Touch. Look. Check.’ message throughout the community.
Sue Frost, organiser of ABC Jersey’s Pink Window Parade, said: “The response to last year’s Pink Window Parade was quite extraordinary. More than 100 businesses and organisations got behind us and the creativity, enthusiasm and support we saw across the Island was wonderful.
“But behind all that pink is a very important message. Every window gives us another opportunity to remind somebody to Touch. Look. Check. and to get to know what’s normal for their own body.
“You don’t need to create an enormous display. Something simple in a window can start a conversation, remind somebody to check themselves or encourage them to find out more. That’s why we’d love to see even more of Jersey joining us this year.”
This year’s Pink Window Parade will also help launch the next stage of ABC Jersey’s Touch. Look. Check. campaign.
Throughout Pink October, the charity will be encouraging Islanders to turn awareness into a regular habit, with an exciting new initiative being introduced as part of its breast health and early-detection work.
ABC Jersey Chairman Gary Bellot said: “Pink October gives us a fantastic platform to talk openly about breast health, but what matters is what happens after somebody sees that pink window.
“We want people to stop for a moment and think: when did I last check myself? Do I know what’s normal for me? Would I recognise if something had changed?
“ABC Jersey will always be here to support Islanders and their families when breast cancer enters their lives, but if we can also use our voice and our community reach to encourage earlier awareness, that is an incredibly important part of our work.
“Last year Jersey really embraced the Pink Window Parade. This year we’re asking the Island to get behind us again and help us take that message even further.”
