Jersey Wanderers Football Club has announced the continued support of the LouLou Race Foundation, helping to nurture the next generation of young football talent on the island.
Since the season kicked off last month, Jersey Wanderers Football Club’s Minis section has gone from strength to strength, now boasting an incredible 82 registered players across the Year 0 to Year 5 squads. The Foundation’s ongoing partnership plays a vital role in making football more accessible for children at the very start of their sporting journeys, helping to provide equipment, kits, and opportunities that make a real difference. Their support also enables the club to secure all-weather pitch bookings, ensuring sessions can run throughout the winter without disruption; a big but essential investment.
The collaboration doesn’t stop there. The Wanderers Minis Festival will return in 2026, celebrating community spirit and youth football at its best, supported by the Foundation. The festival will bring together youngsters, friends and families for a weekend of fun, teamwork, and friendly competition.
The LouLou Race Foundation was established in memory of Louise Bracken-Smith to help young people access sport, develop skills, and reach their potential, whether through individual athlete sponsorships, grassroots programmes, or community partnerships like this one.
“The LouLou Race Foundation’s continued support means so much to our young players,” said Libby, Minis Coordinator at Jersey Wanderers FC. “It’s not just about football; it’s about confidence, inclusion, and giving every child the chance to experience the joy of sport.”
