The Channel Islands Co-operative Society Limited is welcoming applications to join its Board of Directors.
This is a great opportunity for Members of the Society to join the Board and help shape the future of the islands local retailer.
As a community retailer, the Society has always been proud of its local roots and its Co-operative values. It places its great importance in reflecting the views and values of its Members, which are represented by its Board of Directors.
The application process launched mid-February and completed applications must be submitted no later than 25th March 2022.
The Co-op is seeking applicants with senior leadership experience in the following areas: IT, digital and marketing to come forward and have the opportunity to join the board.
Current President of the Society’s Board, Michael McNally, said: “It is an exciting time to join our Society, we are always moving forward and embracing change. We are looking for eligible Members who can bring a new perspective, as well as knowledge and expertise, as a Director for our Society. It is a chance for Members to really help shape our future and make a real difference in our community.”
Co-op member elected directors must demonstrate:
- A deep commitment to the International Co-operative Alliances Values & Principles
- Proven strategic, financial, and commercial skills
- The insight and experience to provide independent oversight to the Society’s governance
- Senior leadership experience preferably at Board level or equivalent in commercial enterprises, the public or third sector
