Two Guernsey-based professionals, from Saffery Champness Registered Fiduciaries have been recognised by ePrivateClient in the Top 35 Under 35 – the publication’s annual list of the leading young private client professionals working in the UK and Crown Dependencies.

Donna Brehaut (shown in the main picture), an Associate Director, joined Saffery Champness in 2018 and is a leading member of the firm’s business development strategy committee.

With 14 years of experience in the fiduciary sector, Donna is also responsible for the relationship management of a diverse portfolio of offshore structures for UHNWIs across a range of jurisdictions and works closely with advisors to assist clients with their succession planning and family governance needs. Earlier this year Donna was also ranked in ePrivateClient’s Top 35 under 35 Channel Islands listing.

With a track record of more than 15 years in the finance industry Matthew Gilligan, also an Associate Director, joined Saffery Champness at the start of 2021. He works closely with the firm’s fiduciary teams, assisting in providing bespoke offshore solutions for multi-jurisdictional UHNWIs with diverse asset classes, including digital assets. Matthew was previously featured in ePrivateClient’s 2020 Top 35 under 35 for the Channel Islands and Globally.

This latest recognition for the firm follows ePrivateClient’s ranking of Saffery Champness Registered Fiduciaries as one of the Top Independent Trust Companies for the third year in a row.

Managing Director of Saffery Champness Registered Fiduciaries, Nick Batiste, commented: “Donna and Matthew have been instrumental to the growth and success we have enjoyed during 2021, which has seen us enhance our specialist fiduciary services and grow our expertise, and client base, in emerging areas such as cryptocurrency as well as in new jurisdictions including via our Cayman offering. It is great to see their hard work and professional standing recognised by the industry. My congratulations to both of them.”
