Over £6,000 has been raised for the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation through Scrap Car Comparison’s ‘Donate a Car’ scheme.

Every month, Scrap Car Comparison selects a ‘Charity of the Month’ and allows customers to donate some – or all – of the profits from old, damaged and unwanted vehicles.

The Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation (PPBF) was recently chosen as a charity partner as their work to help premature babies, poorly children and families is close to the hearts of the Scrap Car Comparison team.

Jo Priaulx, co-founder of the PPBF said: “We were delighted to be featured as one of the many charities that benefits from this brilliant scheme. This generous donation will go towards the running of our flats next to Southampton Hospital, both of which are a lifeline for families with little ones needing off-island treatment.

“We also continue to work with Guernsey’s hospital and provide Baby Boxes to reassure new parents on the local unit, so the funds will make a difference in multiple ways. A big thank you to Scrap Car Comparison, their lovely customers and wider network.”

Dan Gick (pictured), Managing Director at Scrap Comparison added: “We at Scrap Car Comparison are incredibly proud of all of the fantastic fundraising we are able to achieve through our ‘Donate-A-Car’ scheme, and to see such amazing figures provided to our charities each month really puts a smile on all of our faces.

“We wish the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation all of the very best and hope that their flats in Southampton will continue to make a big difference to young children and their families in the Channel Islands requiring treatment on the mainland. It means a lot to everyone in the Scrap Car Comparison team that we have been able to do our part in ensuring this service is available for those in need.”
