The Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation (PPBF) has appointed Ambassador Sara Edmonds as its new Head of Fundraising.
Since becoming a PPBF Ambassador in 2024, Sara has led several successful fundraising initiatives including last summer’s Bike Raffle raising over £10,000. She has also grown the charity’s volunteering network, coordinated flag days and brought unique events to the island such as the Pre-Loved Boutique and Ladies’ Night.
The success of Blingo 2025 highlighted Mrs Edmonds’ talent for delivering high-impact events, with the glamorous two-night sell-out raising £30,000. Sara’s niece, Lochie Fallaize, was a special guest at Blingo, having spent 300 nights in Aggie’s Burrow while undergoing intensive treatment for Leukaemia at just 18 months old.
Lochie’s experience remains a driving force behind Mrs Edmonds’ contribution to the PPBF’s work in supporting Guernsey families facing similar challenges.
Jo Priaulx MBE, PPBF co-founder, said: “Sara clicked with us from day one, bringing an eye for detail, creativity and strong networking skills. We are always excited to work with people who love what they do and want to make a difference. Expanding Sara’s role means we can continue supporting those fundraising for us while also delivering more of our own events. With Sara at the helm of the PPBF’s Summer Raffle, the Colour Fun Run and the return of ‘Raffle a Day Off’ for local businesses later this year, there is real momentum for the months ahead.”
Sara added: “Seeing the difference Aggie’s Burrow made to my niece and her family stayed with me, and I knew I wanted to ‘pay back’ those nights in some way. What started as a few small fundraisers became something much more, and the turning point was Ladies’ Night in March 2024 with our dress sale. Jo and I share the same passion for the cause and our collaboration flourished from there. I’ve found such joy not only in fundraising but also in creating events that bring people together. I feel incredibly privileged to be part of the PPBF’s story.”
