The Discover Digital Summer Internship returns for its seventh year in 2023 to support a swell of local digital talent.
The Digital Greenhouse will again be working with some of the Island’s leading digital companies as part of it’s skills partnership, to offer this opportunity for local students wanting to develop a career in the digital sector.
The six-week paid summer internship has been designed specifically for Guernsey’s post-16 students who are passionate about the digital world and are seeking to work on current projects for local employers to develop their digital career pathways.
Running from 17th July until 25th August 2023, participating companies will employ the digital interns for six-weeks to work on team projects. The Digital Greenhouse has secured high quality placements with C5 Alliance, First Central, JT, Cortex, PwC, Sure, Deloitte and more to be announced. The Digital Greenhouse team will also be working with the students to support their future career planning. The programme will finish with a presentation evening where the interns will showcase the projects that they have worked on over the previous weeks.
Ben Wratten, Programme and Engagement Manager of the Digital Greenhouse commented: “Working in partnership with local businesses to provide young people with an insight into career routes in Guernsey is hugely valuable and has had such a positive impact for those who have taken part over the past 6 years.
“This truly is a fantastic opportunity for students and graduates to experience cutting edge digital projects as well as showcasing both employment opportunities and the range of innovative companies we have operating here in the Island.”
The deadline for applications is the 2nd of May. More information and application forms for the 2023 Digital Summer Internship can be found here.
