Work began in April 2017 to transform the 120,000 square feet premises into a modern, open plan environment, with state-of-the-art office furniture, ergonomic seating and a new café with al fresco dining area.

Specsavers co-founder Doug Perkins, says: “This extensive refurbishment demonstrates our ongoing commitment to Guernsey as a vital hub for our business operations. The island has been integral to our success for the past 34 years and this significant investment reflects the confidence we have in our business and our people.

“We are delighted with our new look – the ergonomic design gives us a modern, flexible space that improves the working environment for everybody here. It is an important development for employee wellbeing and we want to continue to invest in our workplaces to help retain and attract the very best talent.”

The new look premises were showcased to guests when the Specsavers Community Report was launched. The report brings to life the contribution Specsavers and its employees at La Villiaze made to the island community during 2017. It will also be distrubted across the island over the next few weeks.

Specsavers co-founder Dame Mary Perkins says: “During the past 12 months alone, we have donated half a million pounds to various charities and good causes specifically in Guernsey, all testament to our team’s good will and hard work.”
