Close Finance CI has welcomed Simon Winslow as its new Managing Director.
Based in Jersey, Simon (pictured) takes on the role after more than a decade in senior leadership positions with Close Brothers, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a strong track record in building customer-focused teams.
Simon has spent the last 13 years in the UK working within Close Brothers Motor Finance, most recently as Operations Director and developed innovative funding solutions for a wide range of customers. He’s excited about starting a new phase in his career in the Channel Islands.
“I feel incredibly fortunate to step into this role,” says Simon. “Close Finance has been part of island life for over 50 years, and it’s built on trust, relationships and an understanding of local needs. My goal is to build on that legacy – continuing to deliver flexible, tailored finance options that genuinely help individuals and businesses achieve their goals.”
Simon’s leadership style is rooted in collaboration and clear communication, with a focus on making finance approachable. He sees a big opportunity in supporting the islands’ economies by backing local enterprises and providing funding that helps them grow. He added: “Whether it’s helping a business expand or supporting a local hospitality venture, we want to be known as the people you can talk to – and trust – about finance.”
