L’Horizon Beach Hotel and Spa has become home to a winter wonderland made of sugar and it takes an army of elves to create it.
Dozens of budding biscuit architects helped the chefs create a very festive home sweet home this Christmas.
The children from Mont Nicolle School joined Executive Head Chef Andrew Soddy and his team at the AA Four Red Star hotel to build the Hotel’s annual edible installation.
This year’s masterpiece crafted from biscuit bricks and sugar mortar includes a replica of the hotel nestled amongst the sweet-smelling houses.
The youngsters were tasked with decorating and will be armed with plenty of icing and sweeties to get the job done.
Commenting on the project, Andrew said: “When the kitchen starts smelling of ginger and spices you know it’s Christmas at L’Horizon and creating these tiny biscuit buildings is one of the highlights of the season! It takes hours and hours of work so we’re very grateful to have so many little elves coming to help us!”
This gingerbread village will be on display from 19th December.
