Travel website BoatBooker has released a list of 10 dining destinations around the world that can only be reached by boat.

The 2026 list features locations across Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and the Pacific, and includes Stocks Hotel in Sark, which was ranked tenth overall.

BoatBooker said the selection focused on restaurants and hotels that are accessible exclusively by water, have strong visitor ratings on Google Maps, and have attracted at least 100 verified reviews. The company also assessed whether each destination offered a distinctive setting and dining experience linked to its location.

Stocks Hotel was highlighted for its setting on Sark, an island with no airport and restrictions on car use. Visitors reach the island by ferry from Guernsey before travelling on to the hotel by tractor bus, bicycle or horse drawn carriage.

The hotel’s restaurant was noted for basing its menus on produce from a permaculture garden and locally sourced seafood, including supplies from island fishermen. Reviewers have also commented on the way dining at the property reflects Sark’s slower pace of life.
