Santander International has appointed Simon Bakewell as Head of Business Development.
Simon (pictured) joins Santander International with over 25 years’ experience in business development, management, brokerage, and sales trading, including leadership positions at Oppenheimer Europe where he established and ran the Jersey branch, Bridport & Co, and BNP Paribas.
Simon will have overall responsibility for business development, with a particular focus on the new Investment Platform, which allows institutions and experienced investors to trade equities, fixed income, and funds across 25 markets.
Simon said: “This is an exciting time in the growth of Santander International as the bank launches its new Investment Platform, and I look forward to working with the team to develop our private wealth offering in Jersey and the Crown Dependencies.”
