The popular stores provide Alderney’s community with fresh, chilled and frozen products, alongside general groceries and bakery products.

Le Cocq’s currently trade from three sites:

  • Le Huret Shop
  • Arkwright’s in Victoria Street
  • Freezer Centre at The Cuttings

Tony O’Neill, SandpiperCI’s Executive Chairman said: “We are delighted to expand our retail estate back into Alderney. We had a small presence on the island some years ago and we’ve been waiting for an opportunity to invest more significantly.

“Le Cocq’s stores have successfully served Alderney in one form or another for decades and we’re looking forward to investing and building on that success over the coming years”.

Le Cocq’s currently employ more than 20 people in full and part time roles, no redundancies are planned as a result of the acquisition.
