There are only a handful of places that capture the true spirit of a Jersey summer, one of which is St Brelade’s Bay Hotel, Health Club & Spa, which is bringing back one of the island’s most sought after al fresco dining spots for summer 2026.
Situated on golden sands, with views of Jersey’s crystal-clear waters and spectacular sunsets, the iconic hotel is one of the island’s most unforgettable destinations. And as the weather heats up, visitors and residents have even more reason to stop by, as the popular Petit Port Café returns for the season with an exciting new menu.
Fast-becoming one of the island’s hottest casual dining spots, the seasonal outdoor café-bar officially opened its doors for Jersey residents and visitors alike at the end of May. Set within the tropical gardens at St Brelade’s Bay Hotel, Health Club & Spa, the Petit Port Café offers diners a unique perspective overlooking the hotel’s outdoor pool with views across the sweeping bay beyond. It has become renowned in recent years for its stylish, laid-back yet luxurious feel, combined with the natural beauty of Jersey’s coastline.
A flavourful new menu
At the heart of the Petit Port Café’s 2026 reopening is a refreshed menu that celebrates local produce, while drawing inspiration from the Caribbean; an influence that comes from an unusual and exciting source. The chefs behind Petit Port Café also oversee the kitchens at The Lone Star in Barbados, the sister property of St Brelade’s Bay Hotel, Health Club & Spa. The result? A taste of authentic Bajan flavours and tropical influences right here on Jersey’s shores.
It’s a menu that celebrates the best of island life from both sides of the Atlantic.
At lunch, diners can choose from lighter options such as Scottish Smoked Salmon with Crème Fraîche and Pink Peppercorns, creamy Burrata salad with Tomatoes and Balsamic glaze, or crispy King Prawn or Cauliflower Bang Bang with sweet and spicy flavours, toasted Sesame, and fermented Chilli. For something more filling, there is the locally caught Jersey Chancre Crab Sandwich, while the Fish Burger adds a Caribbean twist with jerk-rubbed grilled Swordfish, Mango, Lime, and Red Onion Salsa.
With fresh local ingredients and bold, vibrant flavours, the new menu showcases some of Jersey’s finest seafood, including Jersey Crab Linguine, Grilled Swordfish Steak, and a daily Fish of the Day.
Signature dishes such as Lone Star Tikka Masala, Lone Star Coconut Bajan Shrimp, Bajan Fish Cakes, and Fiery Bajan Hot and Spicy Buffalo Wings bring the flavours of Barbados to Jersey. For a special-occasion showpiece to share, or simply for those with a hearty appetite, the Mixed Bajan Grill combines Jerk BBQ Ribs, spicy Chicken Wings, grilled Sirloin Steak, Corn on the Cob, and a selection of sauces.
Sweet Treats to sign off in style
Caribbean flavours carry through to Petit Port Café’s desserts, with Jamaican Ginger and Pineapple Upside Down Pudding served with Coconut Toffee Sauce and Banana Sauce, alongside Rum Raisin-infused Brown Sugar Crème Caramel. For something fruitier with a tropical twist, there is Key Lime Tart with Guava Sorbet or Tropical Verrine. Those without a sweet tooth can finish with Artisanal Cheese, served with homemade Apple, Pecan and Black Butter Soda Bread, homemade Chutney, and Quince Paste.
Family fun at Petit Port
The fun isn’t just for the adults. One of the Petit Port Café’s new menu’s biggest plus points is that younger guests can sample some of the island’s tastiest and freshest dishes too. Families can enjoy a dedicated children’s menu that includes Fish and Chips, Mac and Cheese, Burgers, and tasty Chicken Bites.
Sunset sips
Petit Port Café’s cocktail menu includes classic favourites such as Espresso Martinis, Mojitos, Margaritas, Lone Star Rum Punch, Mai Tais and Dark and Stormy, ideal for long summer evenings by the water. Guests can also choose from an extensive wine list, premium spirits, local Jersey craft gins and refreshing mocktails, ensuring everyone can enjoy the full oceanside experience.
Guests can also enjoy the hotel’s much-loved Lawn Bar, set within its private seafront gardens with direct beach access. Offering another idyllic spot for a drink at sunset, the Lawn Bar remains a seasonal favourite for residents and visitors making the most of Jersey’s warmer months. It will be open daily from 4.30pm to 9.00pm, with special Friday promotions throughout the summer.
For General Manager Tomas Nadassky, the combination of exceptional food and stunning surroundings is what makes St Brelade’s Bay Hotel, Health Club & Spa such a special venue in which to enjoy Jersey’s spectacular summers.
