Variety, the Children’s Charity of Jersey, held their 2021 Golf Day event at La Moye Golf Club on Friday 8th October.
2021 boasted a full contingent of 22 teams, compared to the limited teams allowed in 2020 as a result of the pandemic. The weather was incredible with wall to wall sunshine and 20 degree heat. Variety were also delighted to welcome the Lieutenant Governor Sir Stephen Dalton, to their team. The event offered exceptional competition prizes for the first five teams and a host of Raffle Prizes.
The winning team, Pentagon B, scored 98 points and received drivers as their reward. The team comprised Matt Lee, Matt Price, Ross McCreavy and Andrew Morriss.
Variety also held a Silent Auction with four attractive lots, which helped to raise additional funds for our charity.
The event raised an amazing £12,000, which will be used by the charity to help the children of Jersey. Variety wish to extend a big, big thank you to Hawk Lending Group, who are sponsoring the event again next year on 7th October 2022.
