Offshore law firm Ogier has promoted Michelle Watson Bunn to Managing Associate in its Corporate and Funds team in Guernsey.
Michelle joined Ogier in 2015 as an associate and was promoted to senior associate two years later, where she has been working alongside the team’s partners, Bryon Rees, Craig Cordle and Tim Clipstone.
Michelle has expertise covering corporate, commercial, regulatory and investment fund matters, and is part of Ogier’s multi-disciplinary Private Equity team. She also advises clients in relation to Guernsey’s economic substance requirements, data protection matters and the Bailiwick’s anti money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism regimes.
Partner Tim Clipstone said: “Michelle has made a significant contribution to our Corporate and Funds team. In addition to her technical excellence, she takes a key role in the supervision of trainee solicitors and is highly regarded as a role model for more junior staff.
“Michelle is very well liked by her clients and is committed to client development, client care and to her team. I am delighted by her promotion to managing associate”.
