Ogier’s listed funds team in Guernsey has advised on the successful secondary fundraisings by three of its listed funds clients in as many months.
Successful secondary fundraises have been held by Hipgnosis Songs Fund, Chrysalis Investments and The Schiehallion Fund, raising around £875 million between them.
Secondary fundraisings are fresh capital raises by listed companies, often raising money from existing shareholders and giving the opportunity for new investors unable to participate in the initial public offering, or investors who have been unable to gain exposure through the market, to purchase new shares.
Commenting on the successful placings, investment funds specialist and partner Craig Cordle (shown in the main picture) said: “It’s been a very busy time for Guernsey listed funds over the past few months.
