The Jersey Chamber of Commerce has announced that, following the advertising of the role within the Chamber membership, the Head of Tax at Grant Thornton, John Shenton is to become the new Vice President of Chamber, with immediate effect.
The new President of Jersey Chamber of Commerce, Jennifer Carnegie, very much welcomed his support for the term of her Presidency:
“John brings a wealth of knowledge to the Chamber Executive Council which will be invaluable to the entire business community, as Chamber continues to represent the interests of the economy in the coming years. With over 35 years’ experience in advising on Jersey related and international tax issues, a Chartered Tax Advisor and previously, the founding chairman of the local branch of The Chartered Institute of Taxation, we very much welcome him to our team.
