‘My Truth’ is the new Charity Single released by Stammerun, with the aim to raise money and awareness for STAMMA, Action for Stammering Children (ASC) and MIND.
The single can be found on all major streaming platforms.
Jonathan Blair (shown in the main picture), the creator of the Stammerun YouTube channel, teamed up with Tom De La Cour from Breaking the Ice Podcast to create the single.
Stammerun was founded by Jonathan in 2023 with the ambition to create a community for people with stammer and mental health issues to be able to talk in a safe and supportive environment.
Breaking the Ice Podcast was formed in the Autumn of 2022, and started releasing podcasts in January 2023. Tom, and his co-host Hamish Kean, launched the podcast to give listeners an insight into what it is like to live with a stammer.
As part of Jonathan’s initiative to grow his network of followers, he came up with the idea to create a Charity Single and wrote the words that would later become ‘My Truth’. Jon reached out to anyone who may be willing to help create the song and Tom offered up his services as an amateur song writer.
On Friday 22nd March 2024, Jon went to Manor Studio Essex in Braintree, where he met Rob Jones who produced the song, which was released the following week.
