Posting international items process changes from the new year

From 1st January 2021, the requirements for sending goods and gifts internationally is changing for Guernsey Post’s customers.

Customers will now need to submit information about their packages electronically, in advance of posting their item to any international destination (not UK or other Channel Islands).

To submit details of their package Customers can complete an easy to use online customs form prior to posting at any Post Office branch or alternatively, they can complete the information on one of the newly installed Postal terminals in any Post Office branch.

Cassy Fish, Head of Customer Relationships commented: “These new procedures will be a requirement for all postal authorities worldwide and will ensure faster customs clearance in international destinations”.
