More than £1,300 raised for Youthful Minds through 100km running challenge

Crestbridge Fiduciary Administrator Josh Cullinan has raised £1,360 for local charity Youthful Minds after completing the 100km Ultra Challenge from London to Brighton recently.

The run, which took place in May, was a challenging and diverse mix of city streets, country lanes, and the beautiful but demanding trails of the South Downs, starting at Richmond-Upon Thames and finishing at Brighton Beach. The annual event typically attracts around 2,000 participants who usually take up to 18  hours to finish – Josh completed the challenge in just over 15 hours.

Funds raised by Josh through the event will be donated to Youthful Minds, Crestbridge Fiduciary’s chosen charity again this year. Part of Mind Jersey, the charity works to support young people’s mental health in Jersey, providing guidance, understanding and safe spaces for those who may be struggling.

Commenting on his experience, Josh said: “I chose to undertake this challenge because I’m drawn to things that really push me out of my comfort zone – and this certainly did. It required a lot of discipline and commitment, and the route was both a physical and mental challenge – but my training really helped get me through and the atmosphere all the way along the route was incredible. Every step has been worth it.

“Of course, raising such a lot of money for Youthful Minds is fantastic too. I’m really grateful to everyone who has donated and supported me in this challenge and in doing so is also supporting the amazing work of the team at Youthful Minds.”

Steve Le Seelleur, Managing Director, Crestbridge Fiduciary, added: “Josh has done an incredible job in training for and completing this challenge, showing real commitment and determination. We are all very proud of him for taking it on and supporting our chosen charity, Youthful Minds. As we look ahead to the  remainder of 2026, we remain focused on supporting the Youthful Minds team by raising money and awareness of mental health in young people.”

Amy Hall, Children, Young Person and Families Service Manager at Mind Jersey, said: “The team at Crestbridge has been amazing already this year in terms of their fundraising efforts and their enthusiasm in support of our work. A big thanks to Josh, who has pushed himself to the limit for this challenge, and to all  those who donated to the cause. Their contribution will make a significant difference to us, as we continue to raise awareness around such an important issue for the island.”
