George Yates and Kathryn Macken from Ogier’s Private Wealth team have been named in eprivateclient’s latest Crown Dependencies NextGen list.
The annual list is a collection of rising stars in the private client advisory profession. It recognises individuals with fewer than 15 years’ experience who are ‘shaping the future of private wealth’ across Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
George Yates (pictured) appears in the list for the third time. He is a senior associate in Ogier’s Private Wealth team in Jersey with experience advising on non-contentious matters, including cross-border estate, succession and trust planning for a variety of professional trustees, family offices and high net worth individuals.
Kathryn Macken, based in Guernsey, has significant experience advising trustees, settlors and beneficiaries on private client advisory, non-contentious drafting and structuring work. She also works with corporate specialists on trust-related restructurings and transactions.

Kathryn is a committee member for the Guernsey Association of Trustees (GAT) and sits on the technical sub-committee. In this role, she contributes to the ongoing development of industry standards and best practices within the Guernsey fiduciary sector and engages with technical topics and initiatives relevant to trust and private wealth professionals.
Matt Guthrie, global head of Private Wealth at Ogier, said: “Congratulations to George and Kathryn on this well-deserved accolade. This recognition reflects the quality of their work, their commitment to clients and the valuable contribution they make to our team. Their inclusion in this year’s list also demonstrates the strength and depth of talent across our Private Wealth practice. We look forward to seeing George and Kathryn’s continued success at Ogier.”
