JTC has extended its platinum partnership with the Jersey Bulls to become a sponsor of the Club’s Community Foundation, which provides funding for football coaching at local primary schools.
JTC is now sponsoring St Saviour’s, the second school to join the ‘After School Support Programme’, following the successful launch of the Bulls’ pilot initiative at Rouge Bouillion last year.
Through JTC’s partnership, Year 4 pupils will have a chance to join after-school sessions and enjoy a structured football coaching programme throughout the school year from a qualified Jersey Bulls FC coach.
The sessions are designed to be fun and suitable for girls and boys of all abilities and taking part will also receive football tops, scarves and tickets to watch a Jersey Bulls home game.
With a principal aim to increase access to sports for children, the Programme dovetails with JTC’s wider commitment to community development and, through the ‘JTC Gives’ programme, its aim to enable young people to reach their full potential.
Support for the Jersey Bulls Foundation builds on JTC’s existing relationship with the Club. Having been a headline sponsor for the 2023/24 season, last year JTC extended the partnership to continue through to the end of the 25/26 season as the front-of-shirt sponsor, with the new Jersey Bulls away kit reflecting the firm’s corporate colours.
Commenting on the additional sponsorship support, Jersey Bulls Foundation Chair, Danny Cole, said: “We are thrilled to be able to build on the initial success of the After School Support Programme and be able to offer this scheme to St Saviour’s School. This is a much-needed sporting resource for pupils to experience high level coaching whilst their families benefit from a free after school club. The Foundation is extremely grateful to JTC for partnering with us to bring this opportunity to another local school and it is a further demonstration of the Group’s continued support of Jersey Bulls FC, a club which firmly has community at its heart.”
Headteacher at St Saviour’s, Kirstie Williams, welcomed the assistance of the Jersey Bulls and JTC, commenting: “We are honoured to be offered the opportunity from this level of support from the Jersey Bulls Foundation. The pupils involved are excited and enjoying their sessions and are keen to learn and develop their skills during their dedicated time with the coach.”
Nigel Le Quesne, CEO, JTC, added: “We are really pleased to be able to deepen JTC’s collaboration with Jersey Bulls FC and support the After School Support Programme’s expansion to St Saviour’s School. This initiative reflects our commitment to community development through our JTC Gives programme. Through our expanded partnership with the Club, we’re proud to be able to help create opportunities for young people to maximise their potential. It’s been wonderful to hear about the positive benefits the programme has already brought to St Saviour’s pupils and their families.”
