After an amazing response last year, Grand Jersey Hotel and Spa announces the return of its ‘Winter Wonder Grand’ and this time the island’s winter destination is bigger and better than ever!

The Terrace at the AA Five Star St Helier hotel will once again be transformed into a magical, twinkling drinking and dining destination. The chic and stylish eight-seater Scandinavian inspired domes are back and 2020 will see the arrival of a fantastic 15ft dome which can comfortably accommodate twelve people.

Grand Hotel - PodsTo create an extra special warm and welcoming winter atmosphere, domes will be comfortably finished with faux fur throws and festooned with with fairy lights, cosy alpine decor and Bluetooth speakers for personal playlists.

The domes will be available from the second of November right through until the end of December 2020 and guests are invited to book their own winter dome and get cosy whilst enjoying tasty food and drink with a seasonal twist.

Grand Jersey’s Executive Head Chef Nicolas Valmagna has created a range of canapé and tapas menus comprising traditional favourites with a nod to the festive season such as smoked salmon and horseradish croutons with pine cone syrup, pigs in blankets with cinnamon and cranberry sauce and a mini slider with sage and onion stuffing, bacon and an extra special truffle Brussels sprout coleslaw.

A brand new dining package has been introduced for those looking for a taste of indulgence with a light bites menu featuring tempting treats such as lobster and prawn sourdough with kalamansi gel and foraged seaweed, truffle and venison arancini with an orange and chocolate sauce and the option of Exmoor caviar blinis with crème fraîche and egg mimosa.  Each package is served with a glass of Champagne and a specially designed winter cocktail; or mocktail if you prefer!

Shaun McGachan, General Manager of Grand Jersey Hotel and Spa said, “We’re so excited to be bringing these fabulous domes back to Jersey, the response last year was fantastic and we’ve already had a lot of repeat enquiries. With the restrictions we are facing this year, many traditional Christmas get togethers are in doubt and the domes here at Grand Jersey offer the perfect place to get together with colleagues and clients or to catch up with friends and family”.
