Butterfield in Jersey is the new title sponsor of the Jersey Half Marathon, having entered into a three-year partnership with Run Jersey Events.
The Jersey Half Marathon, one of the island’s most historic road races, will officially become known as the Butterfield Jersey Half Marathon from 2027, with the next race taking place on 13 June, 2027.
Aligned with Butterfield’s commitment to supporting the communities in which it operates, this partnership ensures this much-loved fixture in Jersey’s sporting calendar continues in the years to come.
“Sport is an integral part of Jersey life and we are committed to supporting and celebrating events that matter to our community,” said Michelle Le Blond, Branch Manager of Butterfield in Jersey.
“We are incredibly excited to become the title sponsor of the Jersey Half Marathon. This is a fantastic event with a long and proud history, and we are looking forward to playing a part in its next chapter. We’ll be cheering on the runners of all abilities and helping it to remain a highlight of the island’s sporting calendar.”
The event will also introduce a new children’s race, giving younger runners the opportunity to take part and experience the excitement of race day alongside the main event. The children’s race, which will be free to enter, will start shortly after the main race, with participants completing one 1,500-metre lap of the track. It will provide a fun and inclusive way for families to get involved in this much-loved Jersey sporting tradition.
“We’re delighted to welcome Butterfield on board as the new sponsor of the Jersey Half Marathon,” said Digby Ellis, Race Director of Run Jersey Events. “The Jersey Half Marathon has had quite a journey since 1989, with different names, sponsors and routes, but what has remained constant is the enthusiasm of the runners, volunteers and wider community who make the event what it is.
“We’re excited to see the Butterfield Jersey Half Marathon on the calendar, along with the newly introduced children’s race and look forward to welcoming runners next year.”
