The Institute of Directors in Guernsey has appointed three new members to its main committee.
Joining the committee are Patrick Cunningham, Director of Indulge Media; Rob Winter, Head of Risk & Compliance at Guernsey Electricity Limited; and Richard Davey, Director and Head of Finance Business Partners (CLS EMEA) at CSC.
Patrick is co-founder and Director at Indulge, a multiple-award-winning digital agency working with financial and professional services brands globally. With 25+ years as a full stack developer and technical leader, he has become a prominent voice on AI adoption across the Channel Islands.
Patrick said: “The IoD is a great organisation, and I’m honoured to be a part of it. Hopefully, I can use my experience in technology combined with IoD’s reach to move Guernsey’s business community forward.”
Rob Winter brings broad leadership experience from across the energy and utilities sectors, with a background spanning risk, compliance, strategy and commercial law. As Head of Risk and Compliance at Guernsey Electricity Limited, and a member of its Executive Leadership Team, he works closely with the Board and senior management to support decision-making and guide the organisation, as it plays a leading role in Guernsey’s energy transition. His work has been recognised with industry awards for excellence in resilience and sustainability leadership.
Beyond his executive role, Rob has served as a Non-Executive Director in the captive insurance sector, bringing board-level governance experience from both energy and financial services to his work with the IoD. He also holds the IoD Certificate in Company Direction.
Rob said: “I am delighted to be joining the IoD Committee at such an important time for the island. Guernsey is going through a significant period of change, with some big decisions ahead. It will take strong leadership and close collaboration between business and government to ensure the island continues to thrive. I hear a range of passionate perspectives across the business community and the key is to ensure these are represented clearly and constructively to government. I am looking forward to working with the IoD and its members to help bring that voice forward.”
Richard Davey is Senior Director of Finance Business Partners at CSC, having joined Intertrust in 2019 prior to its acquisition by CSC. He has since held a series of senior finance leadership roles, including Finance Director for the Channel Islands, Luxembourg and Guernsey. An FCCA-qualified finance professional, Richard has also completed the Chartered Director qualification with the Institute of Directors (IoD). He brings extensive financial services leadership across the region.
Richard said: “It’s a privilege to join such a highly skilled and experienced IoD Guernsey Committee. Guernsey’s strong global reputation provides a powerful platform for directors, and I’m looking forward to contributing to the committee’s work in supporting high standards and continued growth across the island’s business community.”
Glen Tonks, Chair of IoD Guernsey, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Patrick, Rob and Richard to the committee. Each of them brings a distinct perspective, from digital innovation and AI adoption to risk governance and financial leadership. Together, they add real depth to the team. Guernsey’s business community is navigating a period of significant change, and having voices like theirs at committee level will help the IoD stay connected to the issues that matter most.”
