Health Eye: Winning is a game that must be played daily

We are what we do on average.

It can get confusing when we hear or read lots of conflicting advice, and unfortunately we will always be drawn to the stories we like the sound of.

I want to help my clients remove that confusion, because getting and staying in great shape doesn’t need to be confusing or miserable.

  • Exercise
  • Eat well
  • Hydrate
  • Rest
  • Guard your inputs
  • Learn

These are basically how you get it done, but the words themselves are not enough and this is where so many people fall down.

“Yeah I know that” (so in their head they assume they can do it alone, because they know it).

A good example I can use here is from one of the business leaders I coach. A very successful entrepreneur who was giving me some business advice.

When he asked if I’d implemented, I said “I will. I’m going to get round to it”.

“Ok, well I’m not interested in hearing that. We’ll not discuss it further until it’s done”

Knowing and Doing are very different and this is what he was trying to get across.  You can know plenty, but if you don’t act on it then you will never see the results.

Having a coach to hold you to a higher standard will ensure that you act on these thoughts.

How long have you been “going to get round to it?”
