Deloitte Guernsey has donated 50 netballs to the Guernsey Netball Association as part of the firm’s sponsorship of the Deloitte Guernsey Netball Association Winter League.
The balls will go to the teams in a bid to reduce the cost of their equipment and support teams’ training sessions.
Anita Kilby, Chair of the GNA, said: “The cost of any sport can be difficult without any funding, so we appreciate the donation. Netball in Guernsey is on the rise and it’s only possible thanks to help such as this.
“The balls will definitely help all teams on the island for many seasons ahead, so we are grateful for the support.”
Martin Popplewell, Director at Deloitte Guernsey, said: “Netball is a thriving sport here, and as we enter our second year of supporting the Deloitte GNA Winter League, we wanted to do more to help the teams with equipment that will be used for many years to come.
“The Deloitte GNA Winter League is growing in popularity, and we hope that our donation makes an impact for all participants across the island.”
