Forward Group has announced that Client Accountant Paul O’Brien successfully completed his ACCA exams to be become a Chartered Certified Accountant.
Paul (pictured) has previously completed an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business and is already a Certified Accounting Technician. He joined Forward Group in August 2020 and heads up responsibility for the client accounting function which involves working on a varied portfolio of trust and company structures, as well being the group financial controller working with the board across the business units. In his role, he ensures that clients enjoy an efficient and quality service, liaising with clients, tax authorities and professional advisers.
Paul started off in working in the finance industry as a pensions administrator in 2003.
He said: ‘‘I enjoyed doing the payroll work for clients and tax returns which made me realise that I probably preferred working with numbers. This led to me to move into client accounting functions, which laid the foundations for the wide scope of my role today. I have always enjoyed a challenging and pressured work environment where I can test my abilities by working on the more complex areas.’

As a Chartered Certified Account, I can continue giving clients an exemplary accounts provision, bringing in further in-depth knowledge and experience to give them secure support.”
