Heather MacCallum, a former Partner at KPMG Channel Islands, has joined the board of trustees for the Lloyds Bank Foundation for the Channel Islands.

Heather is a qualified chartered accountant and for the last 20 years has worked at KPMG in its financial services practice, predominantly providing audit and advisory services to the investment management sector. She currently serves as a non-executive director on a number of boards including Jersey Water, Kedge Capital Fund Management Limited, an asset management business, and Blackstone/GSO Loan Financing Limited, a London listed investment company

She is also a member of the Institute of Directors and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS).

Heather replaces Andrew Dann on the board who has retired having come to the end of his second three-year term. She will be replacing Andrew as the Chair of the Audit & Investment Committee.

Katie Le Quesne, Chair, Lloyds Bank Foundation for the Channel Islands, commented:

“We are delighted to welcome Heather to our board. She has a distinguished career as an accountant and has worked in both Jersey and Guernsey which gives her a solid understanding of how both islands work. Charities face increasing challenges in today’s world and Heather’s skills will help the Foundation – and the many charities we support – because of her in-depth knowledge of good governance and proper process.”

She continued: “We are very lucky to have had Andrew Dann as a board member for more than six years and we thank him for all the time he gave to supporting the Foundation. He, and now Heather, took responsibility for chairing our audit and investment committee and this role means a significant extra time commitment, using audit and accountancy skills, which greatly benefits the Foundation. “
