“We are delighted to welcome Heather to our board. She has a distinguished career as an accountant and has worked in both Jersey and Guernsey which gives her a solid understanding of how both islands work. Charities face increasing challenges in today’s world and Heather’s skills will help the Foundation – and the many charities we support – because of her in-depth knowledge of good governance and proper process.”
She continued: “We are very lucky to have had Andrew Dann as a board member for more than six years and we thank him for all the time he gave to supporting the Foundation. He, and now Heather, took responsibility for chairing our audit and investment committee and this role means a significant extra time commitment, using audit and accountancy skills, which greatly benefits the Foundation. “
