Senior litigator Rebecca McNulty has joined the Ogier partnership in Jersey.
A key senior member of the Dispute Resolution team, Rebecca has played a central role in the growth of Ogier’s Dispute Resolution offering in Jersey.
Her practice is based on significant experience across a broad range of commercial litigation matters, trust disputes, cross border insolvency and restructuring and property disputes. In particular, she often works closely and collaborates with Ogier’s Channel Islands Local Legal Services team, advising a range of High Net Worth clients on contentious matters.
Recognised in The Legal 500 as a Rising Star and noted for having ‘built a strong cross border contentious insolvency practice’, Rebecca has also been named in Citywealth’s Top 200 IFC Powerwomen and recognised in Chambers & Partners and in the Citywealth Leaders’ List.
Recent cases Rebecca has worked on include advising the Viscount of the Royal Court of Jersey on all matters relating to the desastres (bankruptcy) of a local GP and Jersey incorporated company; related proceedings before the English High Court, described by the Court as being of ‘labyrinthine complexity’; the realisation of assets following a trial in the English proceedings in 2021, advising a leading real estate provider in respect of its administration and related cross border issues; and advising a high profile UHNW client in respect of freezing and other interim orders obtained against him in aid of enforcement of a foreign judgment.
Nick Williams, head of Dispute Resolution in Jersey, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Rebecca to the partnership. Since joining the firm Rebecca has played a central role in the continued growth and development of our Dispute Resolution team. She is an exceptional litigator, having successfully acted in a large number of high profile and high value cases, and makes a significant contribution to the life and culture of the firm. Her promotion is extremely well-deserved.”
