Jersey’s 2021 Higher Education Fair will take place online from Monday 15th to Friday 19th March 2021.

Students and adults looking to study on-Island, in the UK, or abroad will be able to find out more about courses through live virtual sessions and a new suite of online resources.

The fair was cancelled last year, due to the outbreak of COVID-19. This year’s fair has been expanded and moved online, to comply with ongoing COVID-19 regulations, and is supported by RBS International.

The Higher Education Fair mini-site provides information, prospectuses, videos, course outlines and contact details for over 60 exhibitors.

Students and parents will be able to sign up for a series of free virtual sessions throughout the week, which will cover a range of topics, including studying abroad and the UCAS process, as well as talks on specific subjects.

The sessions will take place from 6pm, between Monday 15th and Friday 19th March. All the sessions are free, but students and parents should book online in advance. A full list of sessions is available online.

Students can also find more information in Reach: a guide to Higher Education. All Year 12 students have received a hard copy of the guide this week. A copy of the guide is also available online for adults and parents to view too.

Minister for Children and Education, Deputy Jeremy Maçon, said: “Pursuing higher education is a potentially-life changing decision, and it can be daunting for students and families to know where to begin.  The Higher Education Fair has always provided students with useful advice and information, and this it’s more important than ever in a year where travel restrictions mean that many students will not have been able to visit campuses.

“This provision will help students of all ages to choose the right course and the right institution for their needs and ambitions. I’d like to thank all the Skills Jersey staff who have worked hard to make this happen, and RBS International for their support of this important event.”

Richard Bolingbroke, Managering Director of International Retail and Commercial Banking at RBS International, said: “RBS International are thrilled to be supporting the Jersey Higher Education Fair.  As part of our purpose to help people families and businesses thrive, we are heavily invested in the nurturing of young and new talent and are excited about the opportunities that this event will present for those attending.”
