Thousands could appreciate a flowerbed designed by you to be planted in Guernsey for Channel Islands Pride 2026.

Liberate’s all-new ‘Design a Flowerbed Competition’ offers a chance to let your floral vision bloom in Town for all to enjoy.

Free to enter and open to all, you can submit a simple 4.5 metre by 6 metre archway-shaped design by Sunday 24 August 2025 via an online form or email.

“Channel Islands Pride is truly a community event for everybody,” said Ellie Jones, Liberate CEO. “And quite literally so – in Guernsey it’s entirely grassroots, being funded by sponsors and donors. Since our culture is massively underpinned by our ‘roots,’ we’d love to nod to that and showcase that part of our heritage to islanders and all the tourists who come along for CI Pride.”

Designs will be judged anonymously, limited to one per person. One winning entry will be planted in the carpet bed by North Beach and the roundabout.

“It’s a pretty unique way to be a part of a Pride event, and we hope it encourages even more people to get involved.”

The winning entry will be replicated as faithfully as possible depending on design complexity and practical considerations.

“They can’t be too intricate, but we will do what we can. We are hoping to get overwhelmed with entries and are excited to see what people come up with.”
