Customer service awards shortlist revealed

National Customer Service Week: A celebration of excellence and team spirit

The shortlist has been revealed for this year’s Guernsey Customer Service Awards.

The Carpet Doctor Customer Service Awards, powered by Island FM, will take place at The Old Government House Hotel on 22 October.

Judges have now agreed the shortlists for the categories voted for by the public. Two further awards, Outstanding Individual and Outstanding Team, will be chosen by the judges and announced at the ceremony.

The shortlisted nominees are:

  • Digital & Tech: Guernsey Audiovisual; Yesss Electrical
  • Public Service: Alison Bourgaize, Torteval Constable’s Office; Allan Done and Luke Savident, States of Guernsey Site Team; Housekeeping & Laundry Team, Princess Elizabeth Hospital.
  • Construction: Breton; Stuart Clutterbuck, SHC Maintenance; Daniel Alderton Carpentry & Construction
  • Rising Star: Chris Petit, Specsavers; Keaton Corr, Forest Road Co-operative; Jaden Chadwick, The Pest Detective
  • Leadership: Rebecca Hobson, Hobson’s Hair Design; Jon Sheppard, Sheppard’s Estate Agency; Simon Le Tocq, Guernsey Training Agency
  • Professional Services: Cara McPhee, HSBC; Debbie Hewitt, Cooper Brouard; Paul Chambers Photography; Guernsey Training Agency
  • Transportation: Channel Seaways; Travel Trident; Island Taxis
  • Health & Wellbeing: Bridge Dental Clinic Team; Edge Osteopathy; St. John’s Ambulance
  • Charitable & Non-Profit: Bernie Le Gallais & Little Ted, A1 Crab Supplies; Ally De Carteret, Dragonflies; Meals on Wheels, Guernsey Voluntary Service
  • Motoring: JL Innovation; Guernsey Service Centre; Central Motors
  • Retail: Country Butchers; Adam Bott, Valpys; The Seahorse; Amy Flood, Stonelakes
  • Hospitality: Saumerez Park Cafe; Les Cotils; Gillian Duncan, Woodies; Oak Bar Team, Rocquettes Hotel
  • Most Improved Business: Cobo Bay Hotel; Aron & Katie Slattery, Claim Repair Ltd.; Aztech
  • Accessibility: Karen Solway, Guernsey Wooden Spoon; Guernsey Rural Occupational Workshop; Waitrose, Admiral Park
  • Trade: Guernsey Building Supplies; Sam Bye, Squirrel Group; External Clean Guernsey

Sean & Chantelle Wilson, Headline Sponsors and Co-Directors of The Carpet Doctor, said: “As judges we were really impressed with some of the fantastic comments those who’d nominated candidates made about their dedication to providing superb customer service. It’s been really wonderful reviewing them all and working with fellow judges to agree shortlists”.

Claire Boscq (pictured), Head Judge, said: “Going through the nominations was certainly no easy task. The stories we received were truly inspiring and showed just how many incredible people there are across Guernsey, quietly delivering exceptional customer service every single day.

“These awards give us the opportunity to shine a well-deserved spotlight on those wonderful individuals, celebrate the difference they make and let them know that their efforts really do matter. I cannot wait to celebrate them all at the awards ceremony!”
