The search is on for the most inspiring conservation efforts across the Channel Islands as the 2026 Intact Insurance Channel Islands Conservation Awards officially open for entries.

With multiple prizes available – including a top award of £3,000 in each island – individuals and groups dedicated to protecting and enhancing our natural environment are invited to showcase their projects and gain recognition and support.

Formerly known as Insurance Corporation, Intact Insurance Channel Islands rebranded in 2025 and continues its long-standing commitment to local communities through a focus on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles. Supporting conservation and sustainability initiatives remains a cornerstone of this commitment.

For over 35 years, the Conservation Awards have celebrated the extraordinary efforts of individuals, schools and organisations working to protect and enhance Jersey and the Bailiwick of Guernsey’s unique natural heritage.

Michelle Steele, HR & PR Executive at Intact Insurance Channel Islands, said: “The Conservation Awards are a key part of our ESG strategy, supporting projects that make a real and lasting difference to our environment and communities. Each year we are inspired by the passion, creativity and dedication shown by entrants of all ages, and we’re excited to see what 2026 will bring.”

Sarah Beatty, Managing Director of Intact Insurance Channel Islands, added: “As a business committed to the Channel Islands communities, we are incredibly proud to continue with our Conservation Awards. These awards shine a light on the individuals and groups who are safeguarding our natural environment and strengthening the resilience of our islands for generations to come.

“Championing conservation is not only essential for our shared future – it is deeply aligned with our values as a business. By investing in initiatives that protect and enhance our local surroundings, we are giving back in a meaningful way and helping to futureproof the communities we feel so privileged to be part of.”
