Continuous Improvement Manager

We are seeking a results-driven Continuous Improvement Manager to lead and develop a team dedicated to driving efficiency, quality, and performance across our organisation. The Continuous Improvement Manager will be responsible for identifying, planning, and implementing key projects and initiatives that optimise processes and increase productivity. This role requires a deep understanding of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile, as well as exceptional leadership skills to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Key accountabilities

  • Lead and mentor the continuous improvement team, aligning efforts with organisational goals and setting clear project priorities. Develop and communicate a continuous improvement roadmap in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Manage and oversee multiple improvement projects simultaneously, ensuring successful execution within scope, timeline, and budget. Track and report progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyse current processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement. Apply methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile to redesign and streamline processes, reducing waste and maximising efficiency.
  • Collect and analyse data to identify trends, variances, and root causes of inefficiencies. Utilise data-driven insights to guide decision-making and validate the success of improvement efforts.
  • Provide training, tools, and resources to build team members’ knowledge of continuous improvement principles and best practices. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team and across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across various departments to gain insights, understand needs, and build support for continuous improvement initiatives. Serve as a change agent, encouraging adoption and buy-in at all levels.
  • Establish and document standardised processes to ensure sustainability and scalability of improvements. Ensure all process changes are documented and that standard operating procedures are updated.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and new methodologies related to continuous improvement. Identify opportunities for innovation and proactively integrate relevant advancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in a continuous improvement, process optimisation, or operational excellence role, with at least 3-5 years in a management position.
  • Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile); certification (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) is a plus.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with experience building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; adept at using data to drive decision-making.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency with continuous improvement tools and technologies (e.g., Kaizen, value stream mapping, root cause analysis).
