Mortgage Case Handler

Skipton International is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mortgage Case Handler to join our dynamic Mortgage Sales team in Jersey on a fixed term basis.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that mortgage applications are accurately and efficiently packaged for onboarding, supporting both direct customers and broker channels.

You will play a key role in maintaining high service standards, contributing to business growth, and enhancing the Skipton brand in the marketplace.

Key Accountabilities

  • Application Management: Package UK and Jersey mortgage applications to meet Skipton’s minimum submission requirements before forwarding to onboarding.
  • Broker Support: Assist in onboarding new brokers, including conducting necessary checks and completing documentation.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Conduct credit checks via TransUnion/CIDS and ensure all applications meet submission standards within SLA timelines.
  • Customer & Broker Liaison: Communicate with customers and brokers to gather additional information and documentation as needed.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the Mortgage Sales Team, including project work and data input into internal systems (e.g., Jade).
  • Service Excellence: Champion customer experience and ensure outcomes align with Skipton’s values and service standards.
  • Risk & Compliance: Maintain customer confidentiality, adhere to IT and data security policies, and comply with all relevant operational and compliance procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest and embrace process improvements and support change initiatives to drive performance.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience: Previous administration experience.
  • Skills:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Confident in dealing with external parties.
    • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and data input systems.
  • Attributes:
    • High attention to detail.
    • Strong work ethic and integrity.
    • Willingness to learn and develop professionally.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of:
    • Financial services regulations and AML obligations.
    • Jersey, UK, and Expat property markets.
  • Qualifications:
    • Interest in pursuing CeMAP or similar qualifications for career progression.
