Blue Islands is once again offering Channel Islanders the opportunity to conquer their phobias to enable them to enjoy travel in 2022 and beyond with new Freedom to Fly courses in Guernsey and Jersey in the new year.
Freedom to Fly is an intimate course created for 25 delegates and proven to help those who are inhibited by the common fear of flying.
Rob Veron, CEO Blue Islands said: “Travel is an essential part of island life. Yet we know that many are affected by an anxiety or fear of flying, which has a very real impact on the ability of those affected to connect with family and friends, take that business trip or enjoy a new holiday experience. We’d like to help. And what’s more, our courses are complimentary.”
Following Blue Islands’ tried and tested formula, the Freedom to Fly courses, available free of charge, comprise of three main elements:
- Firstly, detailed insight into the aviation environment delivered by a Blue Islands Training Captain, covering every element of the flight from the aircraft, pilot training, engineering, air traffic control and more.
- The second part is delivered by Mo Bury, a Behavioural Change specialist, who will coach individuals to think differently about flying.
- The third element is the experience flight, where delegates will put their new insight, understanding and thought processes into practice.
Blue Islands will offer new Freedom to Fly course dates in Jersey on 28th and 29th January and Guernsey on 12th and 13th February.
Rob added, “Bringing together classroom sessions with our training pilots, a behavioural change coach and putting the learnings into action on an experience flight, our Freedom to Fly courses have changed the lives of previous attendees.”
One attendee, Liz, said she actually enjoyed the flight: “From someone who was literally terrified of flying, who would break into a sweat at the thought of getting on a plane, the fact that you are reading this review simply amazes me. I can honestly say that any fear I had about flying is gone! Completely! Not only did I board a plane I actually enjoyed it!”
Thanks to the support of Guernsey Airport and Jersey Airport, both courses will take place in the airports of the respective islands.
