Appleby has announced that its Crown Dependencies teams have once again been recognised in the Chambers UK Guide 2026 with 24 of the Group’s lawyers ranked across Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
This year’s edition of Chambers UK features strong feedback for Appleby. The Isle of Man’s Band 1 Corporate team was noted as “knowledgeable, experienced, solutions-based and working collegially to deliver the best outcomes.” Its Band 1 Dispute Resolution practice was praised for “a deep understanding of the industry and the regulatory environment, with the ability to draw on expertise and experience across the firm.” The Band 1 Employment team was highlighted as “working with extreme care, diligence and professionalism.”
In Guernsey, the Corporate team was described as “offering commercial advice with a strong bench and an unmatched network of offshore offices, providing excellent market knowledge from a well-connected and experienced senior team.” The Employment practice received praise for “a client-centric approach that ensures support is tailored to the client’s needs, delivered with a friendly style and clear communication of expert advice.”
In Jersey, the Employment team was recognised for “pragmatic advice based on best practice, with thoughtful responses that demonstrate in-depth knowledge and expertise.” The Dispute Resolution practice was commended for providing “technically astute advice, delivered in a client-friendly way,” with further commentary noting that “Appleby Jersey lawyers adeptly navigate complex matters with remarkable success, ensuring minimal disruption to clients.”
Among those individually recognised, three Appleby partners are ranked in Band 1 for their respective practice areas: Mark Holligon, Dispute Resolution (Isle of Man); Caren Pegg, Employment and now also Dispute Resolution (Isle of Man); and Richard Sheldon (pictured), Employment (Guernsey). Newly ranked lawyers include Richard Field as a Leading Individual in Dispute Resolution (Guernsey), Niall MacDonald as a Leading Individual in Dispute Resolution (Jersey) and Keira Gore as Up and Coming in Dispute Resolution (Isle of Man).
