Baker & Partners has secured impressive rankings and positive movement in the Chambers & Partners UK Guide for 2026, as well as retaining its Band 2 position for Offshore Dispute Resolution (Jersey).

All six Partners in Jersey have been recognised in this year’s results, and amongst the individual rankings the firm celebrates three promotions and the debut of Partner, Amy Benest, in the Up and Coming category.

Global Managing Partner Stephen Baker (pictured) has been named an Eminent Practitioner, a distinction reserved for those recognised to be figureheads in their field. Stephen is one of only two Eminent Practitioners in Jersey and in the Channel Islands.

  • Stephen Baker – moved up from Band 1 to Eminent Practitioner
  • Simon Thomas – moved up from Band 3 to Band 2
  • Lynne Gregory – moved up from Up and Coming to Band 3
  • Amy Benest – ranked for the first time as Up and Coming
  • William Redgrave – maintained Band 1
  • Jared Dann – maintained Band 3

The firm is described by clients interviewed during the research process as being a team with “…the superb ability to apply technical and legal knowledge with commerciality and pragmatism. Their knowledge and experience is consistently excellent.” as well as being “very efficient in how they staff matters and approach situations.”

Stephen Baker, Global Managing Partner, Baker & Partners, commented: “I’m delighted to see our continued upward momentum in the Chambers & Partners UK Guide, which reflects the exceptional quality and depth of our Dispute Resolution practice and the appeal of our conflict-free model. To have all six of our Jersey partners recognised is a testament to the strength of our team across the full spectrum of offshore commercial and trust litigation, fraud, asset recovery, regulatory and criminal law.

“I’m particularly pleased to welcome Amy Benest to the rankings, and to congratulate Simon and Lynne on their well-deserved promotions. These results underscore our position as a leading offshore disputes firm, and I’m proud of what our team has achieved for our clients. My recognition as an Eminent Practitioner speaks to the real strength here which is the collective expertise and dedication across our entire practice.”
