Advocate Barbara Corbett has been included in the Legal 500’s Hall of Fame for the first time.
The Legal 500 states: “To be considered eligible for the Hall of Fame, lawyers must be widely regarded as being at the very top of the profession, and to have been consistently ranked as leading individuals by Legal 500 for a number of years.”
Barbara (pictured) has been a Jersey Advocate for many years and a specialist family lawyer for over 30 years. She is a founding partner at Corbett Le Quesne, which has been ranked a Top Tier Law Firm by The Legal 500 since its inception.
Advocate Nicholas Le Quesne, who co-founded Corbett Le Quesne in 2017 has consistently been a Next Generation Partner but this year he is a Leading Partner which rank is reserved for ‘The strongest partners in their field, leading on market-leading deals and endorsed by peers and clients alike.’
According to the Legal 500 Leading individuals are defined as ‘true market leaders, with long-established reputations in their sector, lead roles in multiple recent significant matters, and exceptional, widespread recognition and endorsement from peers in the market and clients alike.’
Barbara commented: “I have been doing this for a long time, and I am still as passionate as ever. Due to working as an English Solicitor then moving to Jersey and qualifying as a Jersey Advocate, I didn’t qualify for the Hall of Fame straight away so it is a significant achievement that has taken a lot of work and I hope to remain there for a long time to come.
“I am delighted that Nick has been recognised as a Leading Partner as we are consistently rated among the top family law firms in the UK by the Legal 500, the Family Law Awards, Citywealth and Spears and he is a very experienced, very dedicated and caring family lawyer who deserves this accolade.”
