Longueville Manor has been being awarded 5 AA Red Stars and 3 Rosettes for the 17th consecutive year.
The awards came at the AA Hospitality Awards in London at JW Marriott Grosvenor House, hosted by Vernon Kay.
AA Hotel Services first introduced the star rating scheme in 1912, recognising and rewarding establishments for the quality and range of their services and facilities. Longueville Manor was the first hotel in Jersey to be awarded 4 stars by the AA in 1971 and was first awarded 5 Star status in 2008 which the hotel has maintained every year since.
Set apart from the standard ‘Black Stars’ ratings, hotels that significantly exceed expectations within their star classification are recognised with ‘Red Stars’. The AA’s Red Star distinction, which is re-evaluated annually, is considered the ultimate seal of approval, and signifies that a hotel is one of the absolute best in the British Isles. Red Stars are awarded only to ‘inspector’s choice’ hotels that demonstrate the very highest standards of service, care, presentation, and attention to detail. The 3 Rosettes, meanwhile, celebrate the Manor’s restaurant.
Owners Malcolm and Patricia Lewis (pictured) said of the recognition: “It is a huge privilege to be considered among the very best hotels in the UK. These awards are testament to the passion, dedication and hard work of our excellent teams, who consistently go above and beyond to create unforgettable experiences for our guests.”
