Walkers’ team in Jersey has advised Zodia Markets, a digital asset platform enabling institutional capital through stablecoins, on raising $18.25m in a Series A funding round.
Investment Funds & Corporate partner Dilmun Leach and Regulatory & Risk Advisory partner Gemma Palmer advised Zodia Markets on the Jersey legal and regulatory aspects of the fundraise which will help accelerate the growth of their platform.
Gemma said: “We’re delighted to continue our close working relationship with Zodia Markets and to have assisted on the Jersey aspects of their fundraise. We look forward to seeing their continued growth.”
Dilmun added: “Zodia Markets is one of many fintech firms who we’ve assisted recently which is a real testament to the robust yet progressive legal and regulatory framework we have in place here in Jersey.”
The raise was led by Pharsalus Capital, a New York head-quartered venture capital firm, with participation from Circle Ventures, The Operating Group, XVC Tech, Token Bay Capital, Human Capital and other strategic investors.
