The firm was ranked in 11 practice areas, with client feedback highlighting its technical expertise, responsiveness and ability to handle complex matters.

According to the guide, Ogier’s teams “possess empathy, clarity of thinking and academic ingenuity”, while other feedback described the firm’s client response times as “second to none in the industry”.

In Jersey, Ogier retained top-tier rankings in Corporate and Finance, Dispute Resolution, Employment, Investment Funds, Property and Trusts.

Within Dispute Resolution, Global Managing Partner Ed Mackereth was recognised as an Eminent Practitioner. Partners James Angus, Nick Williams, Damian Evans and Rebecca McNulty were also ranked, alongside managing associate Matthew Davies, who was named an Associate to Watch.

In Trusts, partners Henry Wickham, James Campbell, Josephine Howe and Richard Laignel were recognised, with managing associate George Yates named an Associate to Watch.

The Jersey Property team received individual rankings for partners Jonathan Hughes and Katharine Marshall, while managing associate Sarah Parish was named a Star Associate and senior associate Laura Shirreffs an Associate to Watch. Chris Renouf retained his Senior Statespeople ranking.

Head of Channel Islands Employment and Immigration Will Austin-Vautier was recognised for his Employment expertise.

In Investment Funds, partners Alexandra O’Grady, Emily Haithwaite, Matt McManus, Niamh Lalor and Sophie Reguengo were ranked, alongside counsel Joanna Christensen.

The Corporate and Finance rankings recognised Bruce MacNeil and Kate McCaffrey for Banking and Finance, and James Fox, Matthew Shaxson, Raulin Amy, Richard Daggett and Simon Dinning for Corporate and M&A.

In Guernsey, Ogier received recognition across Corporate and Finance, including Investment Funds, Dispute Resolution, Property and Trusts.

The Dispute Resolution rankings included partners Alex Horsbrugh-Porter, Bryan de Verneuil-Smith, Heidi Sandy, Mathew Newman, Sandie Lyne and Simon Davies.

Partners Christopher Jones, Bryon Rees, Paul Chanter, Richard Sharp and Tim Clipstone were recognised in Corporate and Finance, including Investment Funds.

In Trusts, partners Matt Guthrie, Catherine Moore and Chris Hards were ranked, alongside counsel Diana Rodriguez, who was named a Star Associate, and senior associate Kathryn Macken.

Property rankings included partner Martyn Baudains and consultant Martín Casas, while consultant Rachel DeSanges was recognised in Employment.

Ogier’s London office was ranked for its expertise in Bermudian, British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands law. Partners Jeremy Snead and Richard Bennett were individually recognised for Cayman Islands law, alongside counsel Hannah Diss.

Ogier’s Global Managing Partner Ed Mackereth (pictured) said: “I always look forward to this time of year when clients and intermediaries can rate our team and our lawyers, and this year is no different.

“The stand-out message in our feedback is our attention to detail and ability to work through complex matters with clarity, as well as the quality in depth across the team, beyond our partners. This is the latest in a line of great client feedback across various directories, and I congratulate the team again for their deserved recognition.”
