Jersey law firm Baker & Partners has achieved a Band 1 ranking for Offshore Dispute Resolution in the Chambers and Partners UK 2027 guide.
The specialist litigation and dispute resolution firm has moved up from Band 2 in the previous year’s rankings. It advises private clients, companies, government bodies and regulators on a range of legal disputes.
The latest guide also recognises six of the firm’s lawyers, with Amy Benest (pictured) moving up to Band 3 after entering the rankings as Up and Coming last year.
William Redgrave retains his Band 1 ranking, while Simon Thomas remains in Band 2. Lynne Gregory and Jared Dann both retain their Band 3 rankings.
Global Managing Partner Stephen Baker also maintains his Eminent Practitioner ranking, which recognises lawyers regarded as leading figures in their field.
The firm received positive feedback from clients interviewed as part of the Chambers research process.
One client said: “The principal strength of Baker & Partners lies in their ability to combine deep technical legal expertise with a highly pragmatic approach to complex and sensitive matters.”
Another highlighted the firm’s commercial approach, saying: “They are not only excellent lawyers but they make a real effort to learn about the client’s business and provide business-savvy advice.”
Stephen Baker, Global Managing Partner, said: “Demand for conflict-free, high-quality legal representation continues to grow. This ranking recognises the importance of independence and the work of a team handling some of the most interesting and significant cases to involve Jersey.
“Congratulations to all of the Jersey team for this excellent result. Thank you to our clients for your feedback and for continuing to trust us with your matters.”
