Global service provider JTC has strengthened its Private Client Services team in Guernsey with the appointment of Sean Walsh as Director.
In his new role, Sean will play a key role in supporting JTC’s multijurisdictional portfolio of private clients and families, in particular working to implement robust approaches to asset protection and to educate the NextGen to ensure seamless succession planning.
With a particular focus on the UK, Europe and the Middle East, he will also support the strategic growth of the business, working directly with clients and with intermediaries to introduce them to JTC’s services and team.
With a career spanning more than 20 years, Sean has considerable fiduciary experience. He specialises in asset protection and succession planning for UHNWIs and families, the establishment and governance of structures ranging from trusts and private trust companies to special purpose vehicles managing complex assets such as art, businesses and landed estates and the provision of family office services.
Sean joins JTC from a large independent fiduciary services business in Guernsey, where he oversaw a team specialising in the establishment and management of offshore vehicles and had a focus on driving forward the firm’s business development strategy. Prior to that, he held a number of trust and relationship management positions for Guernsey-based fiduciary businesses. He is a member of STEP and the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
Gillian Ralston Jordan, Group Director, Private Client Services for JTC in Guernsey, said: “We are continuing to grow and evolve our private client proposition in Guernsey, recognising that the world our clients operate in is becoming increasingly complex. With that in mind, I’m delighted to welcome Sean to the team. He brings with him considerable expertise in supporting the cross-border needs of private clients and families and a deep understanding of the Guernsey and wider international markets.”
