Butterfield has further strengthened its team in Jersey following the successful launch of its comprehensive range of residential mortgages in the Channel Islands earlier this year.
Managing Director of Butterfield’s Jersey operations Noel McLaughlin said: “It is an exciting time for our team. In June, Butterfield made the strategic move to expand its offering on island by moving into the consumer lending space. We have seen an increase in incoming enquiries and customers looking to take advantage of our flexible affordability criteria and quick turnaround time, which has resulted in the need for us to bolster our team.”
Michelle Le Blond has been promoted to Vice President, Client Services. With over 20 years of financial services experience, Michelle is responsible for ensuring the efficient and exceptional delivery of services to support Butterfield’s clients and the company’s wider growth ambitions.
Butterfield has also made two new appointments. Stephan Geissmar, a seasoned banker and qualified wealth professional, has joined the lending team as a Senior Relationship Manager and Milton Freitas, who has extensive experience in customer service and sales, has joined as a Lending Specialist. Existing Butterfield team member Tony Ogilvie brings his industry expertise back to the front office team as a Senior Lending Specialist.
Noel McLaughlin added, “I congratulate Michelle, Stephan, Tony and Milton. They each bring valuable knowledge of the local property market and a deep understanding of our clients’ needs, and I have every confidence they will make a meaningful contribution to the wider business.”
